Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos Puerto Rican High School is currently accepting students

My name is Jessie Fuentes and I am the Dean of Student Affairs here at Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos Puerto Rican High School (YCCS Alternative School). As we are preparing for 2nd Semester I wanted to reach out to inform you that Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos Puerto Rican High School is currently accepting students. This can be for credit deficiencies, behavior, and attendance. We are an 18 credit program with many wrap-around services to ensure that our young people are successful.

PACHS enrollment requirements are:
Ages 16-21
Drop Slip from current School
Picture ID
Proof of Address
PACHS offers:
Small Classrooms
Family-like relationships
One on one teacher engagement
Youth Development Mentors for all students
Culturally relevant curriculum
Year-long after-school programs
Direct services for all students

I also wanted to share our YS3 Program with you all. This program provides Chicago area youth who are in the care of the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), are not enrolled in an educational or vocational program and do not have a high school diploma or GED with the opportunity and resources to attain their educational goals and become independent and productive adults. Integral components of YS3 are student mentoring, college placement, and support.

We are currently looking to enroll students who are in the foster care system and provide them with the services and educational opportunities that they need. You can also forward this to your social worker.
